Barnes and Noble booksellers are working on forming a union as well!
https://www.reddit.com/r/union/comments/rwczci/barnes_noble_workers_want_union/
Their flagship store and New York has unionized along with 3-4 other stores! This is happening! People are tired of being seen as dollar signs and being made to work just to get to work more, to survive instead of thrive. Keep it UP.
When I tell y'all that the revolution won't look like fire and blood and that you won't be given a convenient and clear email saying "Great news! The revolution just started right now and you can start revolting!", this is what I mean.
The revolution is happening when you make it happen. This is what it looks like. The only way we win is by destroying this country in whatever way we can until we get what we need--and we do it all together.
May comic! Happy mental health awareness month. 🐝 Comic brought to you by my constant worry that I don’t exist if I have nothing to show for myself.
Advice to my past self: Read about burnout. Stretch. Stand up. Get lunch. Ask for extensions. Get help. Sleep. Take time off if you need to, don’t ask. Take care of yourself.

Something something Keeley doesn’t ask how the match went, she asks him how he’s doing, and all Jamie can do is rapid fire list off his stats in the game. It comes across as arrogance, showing off a little about his performance to try and get back in her bed. But it’s actually a sign of how poorly he’s doing in Manchester, because the sliding scale of his well-being has become entirely dependent on how many minutes he’s getting and how well he plays during those minutes. You know. Something something.
James views and judges him by his stats, as a player (we know this from s2 Convo when Jamie asks to return to Richmond)
Ted viewed and judged Jamie by actions and person. He saw Jamie the man not Tartt the player
Ted had started to get through to Jamie as evidenced by his ritual sacrifice. But Rebecca sent him away
Into the arms of James, who was on him the moment he got back, only caring about his play, his own ego to say that's "his" son.
Within days/weeks of being back at City, James has already wheedled his way back in, warping Jamie's view of himself again, confusing him, a man who knows he should be proud of those stats, but also now aware something else is missing, that he deserves more, IS more, but doesn't know how to pursue that
